#57 – Make Dad, A Dad Cake

As a kid I have always had the fondest memories of dad making really awesome birthday cakes. When I was Googling bucket lists, make a cake was on one, which got me to thinking, I don’t remember Dad ever having a cake made for him. 

For his Birthday we will be going to drive a tank so I thought I’d make a tank cake. I have a lot of time for people who make cakes, a lot of planning, focus, a delicate touch and an eye for detail. This took a lot of time, the key element of this success being the trial run, essential for me to learn from my mistakes, but was incredibly worth it.

He absolutely loved it and was speechless. 

I won’t be giving up the day job but a really rewarding one. I can’t wait to drive an actual tank next.
