#84 - Try Acupuncture
This is definitely one of the most random on the list. Looking back, I think the only reason I wanted to try this was because I found it funny watching Kung Fu Panda. I was always intrigued to see how it would feel and what the hell it was all about……
I found somewhere local to Northampton, a professional called Stephen Lee who has been studying this for over 25 years (I didn’t get any photos unfortunately).
The initial assessment was incredibly weird. He basically needed to understand my medical history in detail to see where my body might be off, to then provide treatment. The questions felt very to the point, and he probably thought I was completely mental, not having anyone turn up just to complete a tick off the bucket list before.
Once he completed the assessment, putting needles in specific areas to get a feel for my overall health, he was great and let me ask any questions I wanted.
Why would someone try acupuncture? – this is based off historical Chinese methods explaining there is more going on and needs treating than what is normally prescribed by modern medicine.
He placed the electricity through the needles in my ankle which I had injured, I’ll be honest, I didn’t feel much difference.
Would I recommend this in the future?
If you had some really weird pain or something doctors can’t seem to cure, I mean why not give it a go? If you are just curious ha probably a waste of time. One I can say I am happy I tried and probably wouldn’t use again.
