#7 - Buy a House
I can’t believe I can now say I’m a home owner!
It’s always been one of those things that I haven’t been too bothered about, but that feeling today of knowing that’s our home, very surreal, and fantastic.
Before I came back to the U.K. after travelling and living in NZ I’d never been bothered where I was based as long as I was happy and had space to grow.
When deciding to build a career at James and James, renting in Northampton was the logician decision. Being able to come and go as I pleased was great! I was never in, so one room worked for me. Covid hits, and the need for space becomes very important.
In comes Lindsey, who I fall madly in love with, and can’t wait to spend more time with. I ended up moving back to Burwell when her dad sadly passed away and changing my job meant I was working from home more often.
The most exciting thing is we are both ready to move to the next chapter of our lives, getting a house together. We decided to really push the boat out and we have ended up going for a 3 bed detached with Garage in Fordham. A beautiful new build home, perfect size for us both and where we are in our lives right now.

Be patient – these things take time, the longer it takes normally the happier you are with what decisions you make.
Save save save – budgeting makes buying a house more achievable
