– Sign up on Chess.com and download the app. 

A lot of credit goes to the App, doing the daily puzzles and more importantly playing live games against people all over the world, and more importantly winning a couple, to tick this off the list. 

I actually really enjoyed this one, and a great game to have on the phone whenever I am bored.
