’I’ve always thought horses to be such beautiful creatures, whilst being absolute beasts, scary animals if stood anywhere near the back of them. I have a memory through photos of being about 4/5 years old riding my mums cousins horse and I never really did it again.
In my head it would be amazing to ride a horse on a beach. Unfortunately Covid cancelled the original booking, luckily I found another company called Poplar Park, near Hollesley. They were really friendly and it had a great family feel to it.
I went with Lindsey who use to do horse riding when she was a kid so loved every moment! We were then introduced to the fella’s, Milo was Lindsey’s horse who was hungry sleepy and black and white. Then me jumping on my horse, Bud, laidback chilled out horse, a beauty!
We then went for an hours walk through the forest, saw a beautiful herd of deer, the sun was shining on a chilly Autumn day in October. Riding the horses was a lot easier than I thought it would be, as I was shitting myself a little bit to begin with.
Who knew horse riding is so peaceful! This felt like a type of mediation, so clam and peaceful! I would really recommend giving this a go, a really cute date, different and just great fun!
